When you thought that the hardest person on earth to get saved by the Lord, is probably gonna take forever for that to happen, It happen.
I came home with a shocking piece of news, that leave me with a slight smile as I head to my room.
"At least they are willing to accept the fact that someone died for them."
So so true. At least.
I realise that sometimes, in desperation moments, the cross is all we could ever hold onto. Nothing else.
Not money.
Not cars
Not condos.
Not even people.
But the cross.
The cross changes everything.
Once one believe, from the way the person thinks, to the lifestyle and the mindset. Everything changes with the cross, the focal point of life.
Everything.
I like the show, Marley and Me. I don't know about anyone else who watches it, but to me, it was the perfect example of undeserved love being shown and displayed.
Marley was a complete MESS. He wasn't the best dogs ever. He wasn't the smartest, the strongest, the fastest. He was the worst, or so you might portray.
But after sometime with the family, there was a bond.
Marley was loved because he became part of the family. He is one of them.
Does he deserved to be loved, after creating a whole heck of a mess each day? No.
Does he deserved to be loved, after almost the cause of a divorce? No.
But He is still LOVED.
Undeserving or what? You tell me.
It kinda shows me something about Christ. When we first got saved, from the messy lifestyle we use to have, we have doubts still. We have a WHOLE heck of issues to settle.
Problems surfaces. Issues everywhere. Mess, a mountain of them.
But, you know what? That doesn't mean we are NOT loved. We always are.
After being with God for awhile, having that bond and knowing Him better and better each day, we realise that we are LOVED.
Do we deserve it? Not. But do we get it? YES.
Ah.
