Mermaid Castle Cafe @ Siam Square Review - Pretty Mermaid Themed Lifestyle Store + Cafe

Upon seeing so many articles about this really pretty cafe located right in the heart of Bangkok at Siam, I decided to go check it out on my last trip to Bangkok and boy was it an eye opener!

The Mermaid Castle Cafe is widely suggested as a new cafe in the already strong cafe scene in Bangkok, but in my opinion, is definitely one of the better ones aesthetically.

Located at Siam Square Soi 2, the cafe itself isn't too difficult to find as there was already a queue upon my arrival. Opening daily from 12pm - 9:30pm, the cafe is located on level 4 of the Mermaid Castle store, which itself has many apparels and items on sale each day.

To get into the cafe, I have to climbed my way up the stairs, whilst looking at all the pretty mermaid themed apparels and items. It's actually not that bad of an idea without the lift, because each level is really very pretty and with all the pretty mermaid stuff around, you might just be tempted to purchase  a thing or two too.

Upon entering the cafe, you'll be given beautiful mermaid tail to wear (girls only I reckon?), as you make your way to your seat. The cafe space isn't too big, in my opinion could probably fit about 30 pax or less?

The food aesthetics is as magical and mermaid-themed as the cafe. It was a tad too sweet, but hey, come on, you're in Bangkok. It's a land filled with sweetness and goodness. So I'm not complaining here. Heh.

We were treated with the Signature Set (590 Baht or about 24 SGD ), which is basically 3 tiers of Mermaid themed desserts such as waffles, ice cream, Mermaid vanilla cupcakes, and pastel color frosting sandwiched between 2 cookies.

For 24 bucks, I think the above pictured set is pretty worth it, considering that it can probably feed up to 4 individual? Plus, who would mind such pretty looking dessert set right?

I was also introduced to this new drink of theirs, which is insanely too sweet, Strawberry Vanilla Frappe (150 baht or about 6 SGD). It is basically a pastel coloured mermaid themed vanilla milkshake, topped with whipped cream and a mermaid's tail for the aesthetic factor.

Overall, the Mermaid Castle Cafe is a cafe that is worth visiting if you're a huge fan of these magical and pretty looking desserts and cafe. Or if you're just like me, who wants to get this off the checklist, because I'm glad I did.

This outlet at Siam Square Soi 2 is now the only present outlet of Mermaid Castle Cafe. The previous outlet (Mermaid Island Cafe) in Ek Charoen, which is about an hour's drive away from Bangkok, is now closed indefinitely.
